Tinseltown was a buzz with Hollywood’s hottest celebrities last night, as the red carpet was rolled out for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
As per usual, I am more interested in who wore what, than who actually took home the surf board awards for winning Best Newcomer, (which Little Mix actually won! Yay!!) or any of the other awards.
Here are my thoughts on the looks from the night!
Loving Sarah Hyland’s lemon ensemble! I would wear this this weekend! Such a perfect Summer look and Sarah always gets the tone and the theme of the red carpet correct and wears appropriate looks. Teen Choice is fun, fresh and young; everything she is personifying in with this look.
I am a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars’ star, Shay Mitchell and her style and this outfit is rocking. This is probably in my top 3 looks of the night. It’s sexy without being too much and again the color is just perfect for this time of year.
I like this dress a lot but I don’t feel it is styled correctly. I don’t like the shoes with it and I feel Lea could have gone for a dress that is a little more her age and sophisticated.
Yes, yes, yes! Bella Thorne makes me want to buy an orange mini dress now and I never thought I would ever utter those words!
Maia Mitchell is stunning and this top is just too mature for her 21 years. It drowns her and she looks lost. Not winning in the style stakes here.
Chloe Grace Moretz got this all wrong. It looks thrown together, even though I am sure she was going for a sophisticated vintage look, it just did not come together here.
I love a power suit and many people have pulled off this look on the red carpet, even in this bold color (I am thinking Blake Lively wearing Micheal Kors on Good Morning America see here!) but Rita Ora is not one of them. The material looks outdated and, dare I say, tacky, and with pink hair, this look makes my worst dressed list.
Nina Dobrev has an amazing stylist and I was lucky to work with her when I worked in Los Angeles but this look puts her on my worst dressed list. The sequins and the stripes just do not do it for me. Sorry Nina!
Loving this entire look from Lucy Hair. Her hair and makeup compliment this gorgeous dress and I love that she is keeping it simple with her black, strappy heels and small clutch.
Beautiful. However, I do think this look is more Cannes than it is Teen Choice but I LOVE it. Emma Roberts pulls it out of the bag!
Making my top three best looks, is Victoria Justice. I love this color, the fringe, the length and the accessories. Job well done Victoria!
It pains me to go against my beloved Britney but this outfit is just horrendous. The only thing about this look that I like is her rainbow, unicorn hair. I love that but my love of this look, literally stops at her neck.
Yara Shahidi looks amazing. I love this dress. The color on her is amazing and her hair is, just, wow! She looks young, she looks fresh and she has dressed her age. #winnerwinner
Zendaya has become one to watch on the red carpet and I love that the 18 year old changes up her look and is not afraid of experimenting with beauty and fashion. If you are going to wear a skirt with a high slit, you are competing with the leg game changer, Angelina, and most recently Kendall Jenner, who both took the leg reveal to a whole new level, which this look is just not on. While I say that, I also think she looks great!
Singer Bea Miller, is just 16 and I am happy to see her dressing young. However, I feel like she looked up some street style pictures or some instagram style looks and went with that. She doesn’t look comfortable and for me that is an indicator, that this isn’t her true self and true personal style, rather a manufactured look.
I just love this asymmetrical look worn by Chelsea Kane and I would totally rock this for Friday night drinks. #blackandwhiteforlife
Peyton List. What. Were. You. Thinking? This has far too much going on and I just don’t know where to look! If she had kept the accessories simple and teamed with a white crop, maybe this could have worked far better. Maybe.
Fifth Harmony are a group that, to me, never look cohesive or, for want of a better word, harmonious. I get that they each have their own styles and want to express that, and I am in no way condoning the Destiny’s Child matching looks circa 2003, but they always look disjointed to me. I like none of the looks, that any of the girls are sporting.
