The moment I saw these lipsticks were being released I was obsessed with getting my hands on them. I am a huge fan of the Kate Moss Rimmel London lipsticks and as nudes are so very in right now, I just had to have them. Here is my full review on these gorgeous lipsticks!
I bought two of the lipsticks; shade #45 and #48. I actually couldn’t decide and was going to get them all but I didn’t want to go over board. The only color I didn’t like from this collection was shade #40 as I just felt it was too light and almost white looking. Not a look I would go for.
Shade #45 is a gorgeous Mauve color that is perfect to accompany a brown smokey eye or even by itself for a subtle day time look.
Shade #48 is a rich chestnut/cocoa color that is a real throwback to the 90s. Wear with a slick of eyeliner and lashes of mascara and let your lipstick do the talking.
Here’s what I love about them:
They smell amazing! The other Kate Moss lipsticks have the same smell and it is just divine.
They are really moisturising. I often find that lipsticks that aren’t super shiny can dry out my lips but that is not the case with this collection.
The color payoff is great. That is, you don’t need to keep applying the lipstick over and over to achieve the color that is the lipstick is supposed to be.
Long lasting. For a lipstick that is. Of course, once you drink/eat etc. lipstick wears off and this does too but more often that not, with drugstore brands you have to keep reapplying all night but this is not the case with these lippies.
The range of colors is fabulous so there is a nude to suit all skin tones.
Kate Moss turned 39 last week and as she enters the last year of her thirties, I though it was only right to pay hommage to the super model by commemorating her most iconic looks.
She is after all the cover girl for the waif look and at just 5 ft 7′ she is still one of the world’s most sought after models, despite some illegal extracurricular activities.
The Calvin Klein campaigns that shot her to fame.
Her first Vogue cover and the many to follow
The iconic Vanity Fair Image. This is one of my favourite images of all time.
I love this image- she somehow never seems to look trashy despite the fact she is flashing her knickers!
Her collection with Mango was gorgeous!
Her many campaigns…
I think Kate is stunning but for a girl who’s skin isn’t aging very well, doesn’t have super star veneers for teeth, who was quite fond of controversy and who is not that tall- what is it about Kate that makes her a supermodel? Whatever it is Kate keep it up because I love you!
As the British supermodel turns 38 this week (yes 38!) I think it is only fair that The Stylish World of Lou pays hommage to the style icon that is Kate Moss.
Kate was previously named the best dressed woman of the decade by Vogue!
The magazine’s style director Alexandra Kotur describes Kate, “At every moment, Kate Moss has looked chic and cool. No one has had more influence for the past decade on the way women have dressed.”
To show our true appreciation of Kate’s style, I feel it only fitting to dedicate a Style Crush feature to her but just in honour of her birthday, we dedicate this week’s Style of the Week to her.
Just back from Glastonbury last June, Kate shows that style is effortless when you are truly stylish.
This is one of my favourite Kate Moss looks. Her all black look, which Kate is famed for wearing, began with a simple black tee and belted black shorts in addition to her Chanel bag and Isabel Marant blazer. To complete the look, gladiator sandles and a pair of sunnies, was all she needed!
