It’s no doubt Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has a much sought after look. Her effortless and natural beauty is glowing and dewy and her makeup looks are always on point. But how can you recreate this gorgeous look?
Having just been featured on Her.ie (READ HERE) with my favorite beauty items, I wanted to return to doing my monthly favorite features on my blog too!
Schwarzkopf Ultimate Repair Anti-Damage Mask
if you need your hair hydrated, this miracle mask is what you need! I use it 1-2 times per week on my bleached hair and it is fantastic. It leaves my hair feeling so silky and hydrated and it is only about $7!
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
This a dupe for Clairns Instant Light Lip Perfector. They have a very similar texture and consistency and small amazing! I love these for work. They look so natural but also like you made an effort to get ready, even though you just slapped this on on your way to work!
Again these products are only about $3.50 so how can you go wrong!
Clinique City Block SPF moisturizer
Whether you are in a warm country or not, your skin still needs SPF protection as the sun can penetrate your skin even when it feels cold outside. I wear this every day, even in Winter, and it is so nice to apply. The consistency is gorgeous and absorbs into the skin so well. Read my full review here.
Nyx Butter Gloss
These are insta-famous and the butter glosses have been recommended by beauty bloggers and editors for ages now, but I simply cannot stop raving about them even now! This is the shade Creme Brulee and is the perfect nude in my opinion. Wear solo, under your favorite nude toned lipstick or simply pair with your fav rose/nude tinted liner for a gorgeous look.
Savvy Mineral Baked Bronzer
Attempting to hang on to the last remnants of the Summer sun by using this little beauty. I love to use this on the apples of my cheeks and along my temples, to give a gorgeous glow. Think Jennifer Lopez style! This is especially fabulous on tanned skin or darker tones. I don’t recommend contouring with it as it has a shimmer and you should always use a matte bronzer to carve out those cheek bones. Also, be aware that the powder is pigmented so use less color that you want at first, and build up to the desired shimmer. It’s always easier to add product than to take it away!
W7 In the Buff Palette
A dupe for the Naked 2 palette at less than one quarter of the price, makes the W7 In the Buff Palette, a must have of mine for bronze, earthy tones. I have a full review on the blog, to read just click here.
Essence Nail Polish
I just love Essence nail polish. They have an amazing range of color choice, they are EUR1.79 and as far as nail polishes go, do not chip off that easily.
Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer
I love Rimmel Perfect Match concealer but this one is just taking its place for me in my favorite concealer category! I love this concealer in the shade Light, but you can also buy a Brightener shade, which is really great for those that suffer with dark circles or just want to use it for a contouring purpose. I usually squeeze it out onto the back of my hand, as I don’t tend to like using the applicator, but as far as annoying applicators go, this isn’t the worst! This is so worth buying so it is a must have to add to your beauty bag!
Have you tried any of these products? If you have, be sure to let me know!
I was looking for a matte cream eye shadow the other day (can you believe how difficult it actually is to find just that without buying a palette!) and I couldn’t find one that I really liked. I wanted a powder shadow and not a cream one.
Anyway, I came across the W7 Cosmetics In The Buff Palette. It is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and here is my review!
At first glance, the colors are really similar. There are 12 colors in the W7 Palette just like the Naked 2 palette.
The first thing I noticed, was there is definitely more fall out from the W7 Palette and the color pigmentation is not as good. This is the color is not as strong when applied. A great tip to over come this and give the colors extra staying power and increase pigmentation is to use these colors in conjunction with MAC Fix + Spray. I love this setting spray and use it to keep my makeup in place but when used with eye shadow it also makes the color pop.
When the shadow is on your brush spray a little Fix + on the brush and shadow before applying to the eye and it will stick really well to your skin.
Also be careful with fall out as this can tend to be heavier than when using the Naked 2 Palette. Fix + will also help alleviate this but if you are not using the setting spray and you want a heavy smokey eye, then I recommend doing your eyes before your foundation, that way you can clean up any fall out and not ruin your foundation.
You can see above how truly similar the colors are. I will say the colors on the W7 palette are a lot cooler than the Naked 2 palette, in particular Earth, Storm and Silk. They have a grey under tone, rather than the bronze look that they appear in the palette. Buff and Chocolate are the only 2 true matte colors in the palette and are almost identical to Foxy and Tease in the Naked 2 palette. Onyx and Blackout are also identical.
Packaging is quite different. The tin palette from W7 is very flimsy compared to the UD palette and the names of the colors are not listed under the colors but on the back of the tin. Additionally, the colors on the W7 palette are in a foam casing as opposed to tin. The W7 also comes with a brush but I wouldn’t use this as it isn’t great quality whereas I would often use the brush from the Naked 2 palette.
The W7 palette was EUR 11.99 but reduced to EUR 5.99 which is obviously a massive difference from the EUR40 cost of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.
I think for the price of the W7 palette you can really get over the differences and have a great selection of colors. IN addition to this, MAC have a travel size Fix + spray (which will last you ages!!!) for just EUR10 so you can get all these colors and over come the fall out problem for just EUR15.99. Still a lot cheaper than the EUR40!
If you are looking for other dupes for the Naked collection, W7 has a whole collection:
Every beauty junkie will know about most of these cult products from around the world and probably has some, if not all of them in her beauty bag! They have earned their stripes as some of the best products around and today here are some of my favourites all together.
MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo
The ultimate in red lipstick. Every red lipstick lover knows that this is the holy grail of reds. We have tried but have never quite found one that tops this one.
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish
Another product from MAC, and I personally love the Medium Deep color and I use it as a bronzer and to contour.
Touche Elcat from YSL
This has long being a favorite in the fashion world, with its light reflecting pigments, illuminating even the darkest of circles. What’s more is that over the past year or so, YSL have added a number of other shades to accommodate different skin colors, which means more women can finally jump on this cult bandwagon.
Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay
The popularity of this palette way surpassed that of its predecessor, the Naked Palette and I love the colors in it. Since its release, Urban Decay have added lots of products in the Naked range but with its mix of matte and shimmer shadows, the Naked 2 will always be #1 for me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow
Clinique Chubby Sticks
The Chubby Stick leaves your lips super soft and with a hint of color, they are the perfect every day lip product, for a natural, no-effort-made look!
Nars Blush in Orgasm

The moment I saw these lipsticks were being released I was obsessed with getting my hands on them. I am a huge fan of the Kate Moss Rimmel London lipsticks and as nudes are so very in right now, I just had to have them. Here is my full review on these gorgeous lipsticks!
I bought two of the lipsticks; shade #45 and #48. I actually couldn’t decide and was going to get them all but I didn’t want to go over board. The only color I didn’t like from this collection was shade #40 as I just felt it was too light and almost white looking. Not a look I would go for.
Shade #45 is a gorgeous Mauve color that is perfect to accompany a brown smokey eye or even by itself for a subtle day time look.
Shade #48 is a rich chestnut/cocoa color that is a real throwback to the 90s. Wear with a slick of eyeliner and lashes of mascara and let your lipstick do the talking.
Here’s what I love about them:
- They smell amazing! The other Kate Moss lipsticks have the same smell and it is just divine.
- They are really moisturising. I often find that lipsticks that aren’t super shiny can dry out my lips but that is not the case with this collection.
- The color payoff is great. That is, you don’t need to keep applying the lipstick over and over to achieve the color that is the lipstick is supposed to be.
- Long lasting. For a lipstick that is. Of course, once you drink/eat etc. lipstick wears off and this does too but more often that not, with drugstore brands you have to keep reapplying all night but this is not the case with these lippies.
- The range of colors is fabulous so there is a nude to suit all skin tones.
- Lastly, the packaging is super cute!
