This week’s best dressed, according to The Stylish World of Lou.
In fashion history, there are some moments that define an era or a celebrity’s career whether intentional or not. Here are just a few of my favourite fashion moments that always stick out in my mind. While some are more iconic than others, they all make my Style Crush list.
It’s no doubt Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has a much sought after look. Her effortless and natural beauty is glowing and dewy and her makeup looks are always on point. But how can you recreate this gorgeous look?
It is extremely difficult to short list everyone from 2015 but here are just some of the looks that I was dying over this year.
I have never suffered with dry skin. That is of course until I moved to climate that has very harsh winter weather and has extremely dry air.
My face was painful it was so dry – I felt like my face would crack if I smiled and my skin was really, really painful, red and sore.
I needed to change up my skincare routine.
There is a brand that is flying under the radar but it seems that all of the best dressed celebs are sporting this brand. Everyone from Kate Hudson and Kendall Jenner to Selena Gomez and Kate Moss have been spotted in pieces by London-based brand Atea Oceanie over recent months
The brand’s founder Laura Myers, told British Vogue,
“My ideal Atea Oceanie woman would be a modern-day Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy – clean, fresh, sporty, elegant,” she said.
“On the same note, girls like Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson have taken the and more feminine silhouettes and totally made them their own. The slip dress is a such a versatile piece, and something that we bring back each season always styled with sneakers and an oversized jacket, but Selena Gomez completely transformed this piece by wearing it with heels and a scarf and made is look super sexy.”
Burberry is quintessentially British and I am loving their Holiday campaign this year. Jam packed with British stars of all ages and styles, Burberry is making us feel all festive!
Just a quick look at my favorite outfits from the last week!
Before Kanye chose her outfits. Before Monica Rose chose her outfits. Kim Kardashian, prior sex tape, was a “personal stylist” in 2006 as she tried desperately to make a name for herself. As the world’s most famous woman celebrates her 35th birthday, here is a look at 10 times that Kim Kardashian should have called a stylist.
Selena is out in full force to promote her latest record and it seems her stylist has been working overtime because the looks that Selena has been sporting, as simply gorgeous.
As much as we love the shows, street style has become such an amazing part of Fashion Weeks and I love checking out what people wore to the shows just as much as I love looking at the shows themselves.
These stylish ladies were all snapped out and about London Fashion Week and of course, the British capital fashionistas did not disappoint.
Here are some of my favorite looks:
With London Fashion Week in full swing, here are just some of the stylish Brits stealing the spotlight as they take their coveted seats at the front row of the hottest shows this SS16 season. Whether the celebs are seated at the front row, or attending the best exhibitions and most exclusive parties, they were out in full force, donning their best pieces!
It’s no newsflash that the double denim trend, once a fashion faux pas to the highest degree, is sticking around for Fall 2015.
The trend, made popular by celebrities such as Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Jessica Alba, is here to stay and couldn’t be simpler to put together. In fact, I am certain you already have jeans in your closet and most likely a denim shirt too, so pair the two together to get a look on whole new level of chic.
The best thing about this look, is you can accessorize to your own personal taste. Wear a simple necklace with the buttons opened on your shirt. Want a more daring look? Then button the shirt all the way and team with a statement necklace around the collar of the shirt. If jewelry isn’t your thing, no problem. Wear your favorite red lippy to let your lips do the talking.
The possibilities are endless! Here is some celebrity inspiration for you!
Gigi Hadid kills it when it comes to style and this week was no exception. When she wasn’t strutting her model figure on the catwalks of some of fashion’s biggest names, she was attending parties and walking the red carpet for some of the hottest events.
For the Harper’s Bazaar Icons Party, Gigi stepped out wearing a fully embellished dress that bore the signature structure and design that has become synonymous with #BalmainArmy
However much to my delight, this dress is actually from the Balmain x H&M collection, which is to be relased on November 5th, 2015.
I cannot wait! This has to be one of the most exciting collaborations and will surely sell out in moments.
Credit cards and purses at the ready ladies! Only a short few weeks left to wait!
For those of you who don’t know, TIFF is the second biggest film festival after Cannes, where films and filmmakers from across the globe are championed. I was lucky enough to get to attend a private screening of Mississippi Grind, Ryan Reynolds and Sienna Miller’s new movie.
Here are the pictures from the night!
With New York Fashion Week and Toronto International Film Festival both in full swing at the moment, celebrities are dressed to the nines, often changing two and three times a day!
Here are just some of my favorites from this week.
Yves Saint Laurent “famously said, fashions fade, style is eternal” and so while it is simple enough to buy the latest It Bag or deisgner shoes, styling them is something that doesn’t come to everyone naturally.
Here are some of the styling hacks used by the fashionistas and the influencers of the fashion world.
- BELT UP
If Olivia Palermo has taught me anything, apart from the fact that a glorious eye roll is essential in life, it is that you are never fully dressed without a belt!
The socialite knows how to rock any outfit and accentuate her figure, by bringing in her outfit at the waist, with her latest belt.
2. Drape it
Drape your jacket over your shoulders once in awhile to change up your look. Not recommended for every day wear although I might add!
3. The Half Tuck
Tuck your shirt or top in to your pant. Not in geeky way, that brings your pants up really high; just half tuck the shirt in for a chic look.
4. Knot it
Tie a knot in your top. Instantly chic!
5. Roll up your sleeves
Change up the look of your favorite shirt buy rolling up the sleeves to your elbows! So simple but can alters the dimensions of the outfit and often looks completely different.
There you have it – 5 very simple ways to style your outfit!
Unless you live under a rock, you know that NYFW is taking place as we speak. Or rather as I type and you read- you know what I mean!
The Carolina Herrera show has introduced the new “it” hair for Spring and it couldn’t be simpler to replicate. However, I think I am going to get a jump on this look and wear it Falls well!
Here is how you can recreate this look at home!
Start by washing your hair using Perfectly (un)Done Weightless Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner and rough dry.
Apply Get Sleek Blow Dry Balm from roots to ends and dry hair with a round bristle brush before using a comb to create a straight center part.
Separate hair into 2-inch wide sections and use a 1.5 inch barrel curling wand to create a very loose S-bend wave in the hair, rolling the curling wand down the hair. Use the edge of the curling wand to smooth the hair at the roots.
Lightly spritz Smooth & Silky Shine Spray over hair and onto your fingers to tame any fly aways around the face.
Finish by spraying Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hairspray for flexible hold.
What products to use:
The celebrities and models are really giving previous years a run for the money in the style stakes and have turned up the heat as they sit front row at all the hottest shows and attend all the best parties during NYFW.
Here have been some of my favorites so far this year!
You can probably been living under a rock if you have not yet heard of strobing! Loved by celebs and beauty bloggers alike, this trend is seen as the anti-contour.
I am a lover of contour. I love a chiseled cheek bone and perfectly contoured nose and I didn’t think I would get on board with this strobing look.
Here is why I like it:
- It’s so simple to master
- It takes half the time that contouring takes
- It looks so natural and you don’t look like you spent ages doing your makeup (because you haven’t!)
- It gives a fantastic glowy, dewy skin
- If you are prone to oily skin, don’t shy away from this look! Own it! Don’t worry about looking shiny- it’s the whole point. use powder to keep your nose, chin and forehead matte and let your natural skin type enhance your strobe!
- As much as I love a good contour, It’s not a look to be done every day so strobing is the perfect alternative for a natural work, daytime look!
- Gigi Hadid loves it so it’s OK with me!
So say bye, bye contouring and hello strobing! Check out my favourite products to have you strobing like a pro in no time!
How to Strobe:
Hit the points below with your favorite product. Blend into your skin (I use my fourth finger to blend!) until you have the desired glow. Use product sparingly and you can always add more if you so wish!
Keep the corners of your nose, chin and between your brows and forehead matte by using your favorite powder!
What to use for strobing:
Take note that the below colors are for fairer skin tones, but most of these brands carry many different colours of the same product so go a little deeper. if you have dark skin, gold tones look amazing on your skin for strobing. Try Moon Beam from Benefit!
I prefer liquid products to strobe – it’s gives a more natural, dewy look!

I love Lauren Conrad and as much as I hate to admit it, I love watching Laguna Beach and The Hills re-runs.
She has officially become a bona fide fashion designer now as she has debuted her collection weith Kohl’s at NYFW today.
Her pieces are just so Lauren; feminine, pretty, elegant, soft and darling. Even the soft lighting and back drop are beautiful and remind me of her instagram account.
Here are some of my favourite looks.
She also had some famous faces there to support her!
Millie Mackintosh stepped out this weekend wearing a suede, sleeveless dress that was the perfect ensemble to rock the 70’s trend of Fall, without being too dramatic.
I went on the hunt for a similar dress and here it is!
The dress is slightly darker but for just $60, it is a bargain and perfect teamed with over the knee boots, ankle boots or some chunky black heels for a night out!

Sienna Miller has been a style crush of mine for a very long time. I remember seeing her in Alfie and just falling in love with her hair, her clothes and her style. She is stunning on the cover of Vogue for the October issue.
She is a true style icon and a boho girl at heart. Even though her style has evolved since she first made it big in Tinseltown (on the arm of Jude Law!), she still knows how to rock a great look.
This was really difficult to narrow down but here are some of my fav looks that the actress and model has sported throughout the years.
I am so obsessed with the Drew bag from Chloe. I would probably sell my gran for it! Just kidding (Hi Nana – thanks for reading!) but seriously this is the it bag of the moment and celebrities and bloggers alike are in love with it too.
And you can see why these stylish women are loving it. Here are some close up shots. I love the grey the best. No wait the green suede and navy. No, definitely the grey. Arrrggghhhhhh- I love them all!
The bag retails for, wait for it, between $1600 and $5500 ( the python bags) so for now, on my wishlist it shall remain!
However, there is good news!!
If you are a bargain hunter like myself, you will soon be able to get a similar bag from Boohoo.com that will allow our bank accounts may to actually survive this purchase! The bag is part of Boohoo’s 2015 Holiday range. available in October!
Yay -it’s Friday and what better way to kick start your weekend than browsing through The Stylish World of Lou and picking up some fashion tips and trends for the weekend.
I have picked out my top 10 pairs of shoes for you to buy this weekend, just in time for your Saturday night out!
Denim is sticking around this Fall and I have styled some great ways to wear the trend.
Rather than just breaking out your skinny jeans (AGAIN!) why not try a different way of wearing the look.
Celebrities love denim, whether that is their fav boyfriend jeans, denim dress, cutoffs or, the go-to look of the moment, the double denim outfit!
Here are some looks I have styled to help you get the look for less this Fall!

I posted this picture to my instagram a while back and just absolutely loved this look. When I was browsing through online retailers, I came across an amazing piece that let’s you copy Kendall’s look for less!
The strapless, culoutte jumpsuit is from none other than Missguided and is just $73.50 or EUR49.
At this price, not only is the jumpsuit a bargain but you also get free standard shipping!
As we try desperately to hang on to the last few days of late Summer sunshine, here are some celebrity styles to inspire you and your outfit for the last few days before we go get our Winter jackets out!
Having just been featured on Her.ie (READ HERE) with my favorite beauty items, I wanted to return to doing my monthly favorite features on my blog too!
Schwarzkopf Ultimate Repair Anti-Damage Mask
if you need your hair hydrated, this miracle mask is what you need! I use it 1-2 times per week on my bleached hair and it is fantastic. It leaves my hair feeling so silky and hydrated and it is only about $7!
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
This a dupe for Clairns Instant Light Lip Perfector. They have a very similar texture and consistency and small amazing! I love these for work. They look so natural but also like you made an effort to get ready, even though you just slapped this on on your way to work!
Again these products are only about $3.50 so how can you go wrong!
Clinique City Block SPF moisturizer
Whether you are in a warm country or not, your skin still needs SPF protection as the sun can penetrate your skin even when it feels cold outside. I wear this every day, even in Winter, and it is so nice to apply. The consistency is gorgeous and absorbs into the skin so well. Read my full review here.
Nyx Butter Gloss
These are insta-famous and the butter glosses have been recommended by beauty bloggers and editors for ages now, but I simply cannot stop raving about them even now! This is the shade Creme Brulee and is the perfect nude in my opinion. Wear solo, under your favorite nude toned lipstick or simply pair with your fav rose/nude tinted liner for a gorgeous look.
Savvy Mineral Baked Bronzer
Attempting to hang on to the last remnants of the Summer sun by using this little beauty. I love to use this on the apples of my cheeks and along my temples, to give a gorgeous glow. Think Jennifer Lopez style! This is especially fabulous on tanned skin or darker tones. I don’t recommend contouring with it as it has a shimmer and you should always use a matte bronzer to carve out those cheek bones. Also, be aware that the powder is pigmented so use less color that you want at first, and build up to the desired shimmer. It’s always easier to add product than to take it away!
W7 In the Buff Palette
A dupe for the Naked 2 palette at less than one quarter of the price, makes the W7 In the Buff Palette, a must have of mine for bronze, earthy tones. I have a full review on the blog, to read just click here.
Essence Nail Polish
I just love Essence nail polish. They have an amazing range of color choice, they are EUR1.79 and as far as nail polishes go, do not chip off that easily.
Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer
I love Rimmel Perfect Match concealer but this one is just taking its place for me in my favorite concealer category! I love this concealer in the shade Light, but you can also buy a Brightener shade, which is really great for those that suffer with dark circles or just want to use it for a contouring purpose. I usually squeeze it out onto the back of my hand, as I don’t tend to like using the applicator, but as far as annoying applicators go, this isn’t the worst! This is so worth buying so it is a must have to add to your beauty bag!
Have you tried any of these products? If you have, be sure to let me know!
I am not sure how I have had this blog for so long and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has not featured on my Style Crush section!
She has amazing style and can literally throw on jeans and a tee and look like she just strutted off the runway. Whether she is on the red carpet or just out and about, she always looks amazing and here are just a few of my favourite looks.
Here are just a few of my favourite looks from the model. It was difficult because let’s be honest – she has so many great looks!

Fall is fast approaching and the style icons of the fashion world are pulling out their leather jackets and guess what? So are we!
A leather jacket is a staple in any woman’s closet (or at least it should be!) but if you can’t afford a real leather jacket, fear not because I have found the most gorgeous faux-leather jacket on the high street.
I recently posted a blog article on suede skirts (read here!) and I wanted to show you just how versatile this look is. I have styled the same skirt four different ways, creating four completely different looks. When you calculate your cost per wear, you can justify the purchase and there are lots of ways to wear this skirt.
Here are just a few ideas, styled by me.
Olivia Palermo, for me, just does not get it wrong when it comes to personal style. She incorporates trends while still staying true to her own signature (think belts, fur gillets and blazers!) and she is one of my style icons. (see my why here!)
She stepped out this week wearing an off-the shoulder top from Johanna Ortiz and I feel in love. With a price tag of $500, this may be one for the credit card but for a more economical purchase, why not steal her style, with this similar top from pixiemarket.com.
Wear with jeans, like Olivia, or team with a white midi skirt for an added twist of femininity.
Tinseltown was a buzz with Hollywood’s hottest celebrities last night, as the red carpet was rolled out for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
As per usual, I am more interested in who wore what, than who actually took home the surf board awards for winning Best Newcomer, (which Little Mix actually won! Yay!!) or any of the other awards.
Here are my thoughts on the looks from the night!
Loving Sarah Hyland’s lemon ensemble! I would wear this this weekend! Such a perfect Summer look and Sarah always gets the tone and the theme of the red carpet correct and wears appropriate looks. Teen Choice is fun, fresh and young; everything she is personifying in with this look.
I am a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars’ star, Shay Mitchell and her style and this outfit is rocking. This is probably in my top 3 looks of the night. It’s sexy without being too much and again the color is just perfect for this time of year.
I like this dress a lot but I don’t feel it is styled correctly. I don’t like the shoes with it and I feel Lea could have gone for a dress that is a little more her age and sophisticated.
Yes, yes, yes! Bella Thorne makes me want to buy an orange mini dress now and I never thought I would ever utter those words!
Maia Mitchell is stunning and this top is just too mature for her 21 years. It drowns her and she looks lost. Not winning in the style stakes here.
Chloe Grace Moretz got this all wrong. It looks thrown together, even though I am sure she was going for a sophisticated vintage look, it just did not come together here.
I love a power suit and many people have pulled off this look on the red carpet, even in this bold color (I am thinking Blake Lively wearing Micheal Kors on Good Morning America see here!) but Rita Ora is not one of them. The material looks outdated and, dare I say, tacky, and with pink hair, this look makes my worst dressed list.
Nina Dobrev has an amazing stylist and I was lucky to work with her when I worked in Los Angeles but this look puts her on my worst dressed list. The sequins and the stripes just do not do it for me. Sorry Nina!
Loving this entire look from Lucy Hair. Her hair and makeup compliment this gorgeous dress and I love that she is keeping it simple with her black, strappy heels and small clutch.
Beautiful. However, I do think this look is more Cannes than it is Teen Choice but I LOVE it. Emma Roberts pulls it out of the bag!
Making my top three best looks, is Victoria Justice. I love this color, the fringe, the length and the accessories. Job well done Victoria!
It pains me to go against my beloved Britney but this outfit is just horrendous. The only thing about this look that I like is her rainbow, unicorn hair. I love that but my love of this look, literally stops at her neck.
Yara Shahidi looks amazing. I love this dress. The color on her is amazing and her hair is, just, wow! She looks young, she looks fresh and she has dressed her age. #winnerwinner
Zendaya has become one to watch on the red carpet and I love that the 18 year old changes up her look and is not afraid of experimenting with beauty and fashion. If you are going to wear a skirt with a high slit, you are competing with the leg game changer, Angelina, and most recently Kendall Jenner, who both took the leg reveal to a whole new level, which this look is just not on. While I say that, I also think she looks great!
Singer Bea Miller, is just 16 and I am happy to see her dressing young. However, I feel like she looked up some street style pictures or some instagram style looks and went with that. She doesn’t look comfortable and for me that is an indicator, that this isn’t her true self and true personal style, rather a manufactured look.
I just love this asymmetrical look worn by Chelsea Kane and I would totally rock this for Friday night drinks. #blackandwhiteforlife
Peyton List. What. Were. You. Thinking? This has far too much going on and I just don’t know where to look! If she had kept the accessories simple and teamed with a white crop, maybe this could have worked far better. Maybe.
Fifth Harmony are a group that, to me, never look cohesive or, for want of a better word, harmonious. I get that they each have their own styles and want to express that, and I am in no way condoning the Destiny’s Child matching looks circa 2003, but they always look disjointed to me. I like none of the looks, that any of the girls are sporting.
What do you think of the looks? Who was your favourite? Comment below or follow me on instagram @TheStylishWorldofLou or Twitter @HerStylishWorld for all my daily updates and pictures!

Ok we don’t want to steal her style all of the time but it has to be said that Kylie Jenner has made more than a few awesome outfit choices in the last year. You can totally see her big sister Kim’s style influence as of late.
I am a big fan of double denim and really like this outfit she wore a few weeks ago and here is exactly how you can replicate the look for less!

Every beauty junkie will know about most of these cult products from around the world and probably has some, if not all of them in her beauty bag! They have earned their stripes as some of the best products around and today here are some of my favourites all together.
MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo
The ultimate in red lipstick. Every red lipstick lover knows that this is the holy grail of reds. We have tried but have never quite found one that tops this one.
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish
Another product from MAC, and I personally love the Medium Deep color and I use it as a bronzer and to contour.
Touche Elcat from YSL
This has long being a favorite in the fashion world, with its light reflecting pigments, illuminating even the darkest of circles. What’s more is that over the past year or so, YSL have added a number of other shades to accommodate different skin colors, which means more women can finally jump on this cult bandwagon.
Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay
The popularity of this palette way surpassed that of its predecessor, the Naked Palette and I love the colors in it. Since its release, Urban Decay have added lots of products in the Naked range but with its mix of matte and shimmer shadows, the Naked 2 will always be #1 for me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow
Clinique Chubby Sticks
The Chubby Stick leaves your lips super soft and with a hint of color, they are the perfect every day lip product, for a natural, no-effort-made look!
Nars Blush in Orgasm
What do you think of these products? Do you use any of them? Do you think they deserve their cult status among the world’s beauty junkies? Let me know or comment on instagram @thestylishworldoflou
This trend has been seen all over instagram, blogs and of course celebrities have been rocking this look but here are some of the best pairs from the high street.
Eye creams have long been a part of a woman’s daily skin care routine but rather than wait until you have wrinkles and fine lines setting in, experts recommend to start using an eye cream in your 20s, as a prevention is better than a cure mentality.
Here are some of my favourite eye creams of the moment.
Simple Soothing Eye Balm, EUR5.19,
Clinique All About Eyes, EUR34
L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Eye Cream, EUR16.99
Nip+Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix, EUR13.33
Coco Butter Formula Brightening Eye Serum,
Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel, EUR10.66
I really don’t think you can go wrong with nude pumps I always bring mine with me on vacation or in my bag to a meeting or event because they go with everything and instantly add extra glamour to your look.
I recently featured my favourite pair of my own which I bought in Sydney a few months ago but there are some great finds from the high street that won’t break the bank!

The moment I saw these lipsticks were being released I was obsessed with getting my hands on them. I am a huge fan of the Kate Moss Rimmel London lipsticks and as nudes are so very in right now, I just had to have them. Here is my full review on these gorgeous lipsticks!
I bought two of the lipsticks; shade #45 and #48. I actually couldn’t decide and was going to get them all but I didn’t want to go over board. The only color I didn’t like from this collection was shade #40 as I just felt it was too light and almost white looking. Not a look I would go for.
Shade #45 is a gorgeous Mauve color that is perfect to accompany a brown smokey eye or even by itself for a subtle day time look.
Shade #48 is a rich chestnut/cocoa color that is a real throwback to the 90s. Wear with a slick of eyeliner and lashes of mascara and let your lipstick do the talking.
Here’s what I love about them:
- They smell amazing! The other Kate Moss lipsticks have the same smell and it is just divine.
- They are really moisturising. I often find that lipsticks that aren’t super shiny can dry out my lips but that is not the case with this collection.
- The color payoff is great. That is, you don’t need to keep applying the lipstick over and over to achieve the color that is the lipstick is supposed to be.
- Long lasting. For a lipstick that is. Of course, once you drink/eat etc. lipstick wears off and this does too but more often that not, with drugstore brands you have to keep reapplying all night but this is not the case with these lippies.
- The range of colors is fabulous so there is a nude to suit all skin tones.
- Lastly, the packaging is super cute!

I adore the fashion at Cannes, looking forward to it every year and for the most part, this year’s red carpet looks have all been spot on and some of the best looks have walked the red carpet this year.
The usual suspects of Eva Longoria, Diane Kruger, Sienna Miller and Camilla Alves are all making my best dressed list this year. Here are some of my favourites.
I love watches and I am on the prowl for a new one at the moment, so I put together a post on some of my favorite that I have come across! There is not a Michael Kors or Marc Jacobs watch in sight because I am so sick of them! It’s time to move on people!

Triangl bikinis are uber popular and are the must have of bloggers and social media influencers. It seems every bikini picture on instagram is a Triangl bikini. With their signature look, they are instantly recognizable but they can run a little pricey if you are on a budget.
Well the great news is, Penneys or Primark, have just launched their latest bikini line and it is obvious that they draw inspiration from the Triangl brand. While the bikini is slightly different with a high wasited brief and a longer bust line, the bikini is gorgeous and a perfect addition to your Summer wardrobe! All of course without breaking the bank! Ah Penneys- where would we be without it??
When I first got my balayage in my hair, the stylist only used a dye and not a bleach. When I decided to go lighter, my stylist used bleach to color my hair and a toner to bring the color back to the color I wanted, which was a caramel/honey color.
The bleach really damaged my hair and I knew immediately that I would have to change my hair care routine.
This is my current routine and my hair is much healthier than it was!
1. Stop washing your hair as often
This was really difficult to do at the start, but as my hair is so much drier now, I really didn’t need to wash it as often. Freshen up your roots with dry shampoo to get you from one wash to the next.
2. Reduce the amount of heat that you use on your hair
Nowadays, I rarely blow dry my hair and I try and let it dry naturally most times. I keep my hair tied back during the week whether that is in a ponytail, plait or bun. Then, I style with heat at the weekends, if I am heading out.
3. Use a toner conditioner
When you have bleached your hair, it is essential to use a toner conditioner to ensure as much as much as possible, that your hair doesn’t go a brassy, orange color. There are so many on the market at the moment, but my favourite is Schwartzkopf Extra Care Blonde Toner. I have used so many brands of “purple” shampoos and conditioners for blonde hair but I have found this conditioner is all I need to keep my color toned.
4. Use a hair treatment or mask once a week
Your hair is going to need extra hydration and conditioning and therefore I recommend a hair mask once a week. I use Schwartzkopf Extra Care Hair Repair mask.
5. Use a hair oil
I have been a fan of Moroccan Oil for a few years now. I always use it when I get out of the shower. Take some oil and rub into the tips of your hair, really massaging it into the hair. I have quite fine hair but the oil does not make my hair greasy. I use it all over the areas of my hair that is bleached.I have tried dry oil sprays and I find they do not absorb into the hair as well so I always recommend an oil, even for fine hair. If your hair is prone to oil, just be sure to use a little amount of oil.
6. Use a leave in conditioner as well
In addition to using a conditioner in the shower and my hair oil, I use a leave in spray for blonde hair. It just gives hair additional hydration and trust me, bleached hair needs as much repair and conditioning as possible! At the moment I am using Edward Beale Hi Light Brite Leave in Spray Conditioner. It is specifically for blondes and I really find my hair is softer as a result of this spray.
7. Use a heat protector spray
When you do use heat styling on your hair, be sure to protect it first. Use a spray on damp hair when you are blow drying, then spray it on again on to your dry hair before you straighten or curl your hair. I like TRESemme Heat Creations spray.
Blonde bobs, long bobs, layered bobs -this really has been the year of the bob!
Here are some of my favourite for a little inspiration to take to your salon if you feel the need (or have the guts) to chop off some inches! It takes my hair so long to grow, that I cannot actually bring myself to get this cut, but I really do love it!
Although I prefer her hair red, Emma Stone looks amazing with this cut. And as for that lip color, 10/10.
Kate Mara is so beautiful and the ombre color on this bob changes up her look even more.
A longer bob is great if you don’t have the nerve to get the jaw line length and it still looks amazing, like this style on Lucy Hale.
Emma Roberts looks far more grown up and sophisticated with this look. She really has outgrown her baby looks now.
I actually love Jessica’s hair this length and the color is fab on her. She always has the best balayage around!
Kayley Cuoco also went in for the chop and I prefer this look on her than the pixie cut she has previously sported.
One of the originals, Kylie Jenner loves her 90’s fashion and this length is bang on 90’s trend.
Of course, Kristen Cavallari got in on the trend also – although I have to say I prefer her hair longer.
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn has recently admitted to wearing wigs due to her hair being so damaged from styling. Love this look on her and the color is gorgeous too.
Another one of my girl crush’s went in for the chop. Loving this look on Margot Robbie.
I sure if Rosie Huntington Whitely shaved off her hair, she would still be amazing but this longer, layered bob, is the nicest I have ever seen her hair. Ever.
The queen of the LOB. My all time favourite LOB look goes to style icon, Sienna Miller.
Taylor Swift had dropped her spiral curled look for a more mature, grown up look and she champions the bob.

As I have mentioned before, I prefer to spend time in bed in the mornings than spending an extra 30 minutes doing my makeup, I am just not one of those girls! I am in a very serious relationship with my pillow!
If you are like me, here are some tricks to get your makeup done in only a few minutes!
If you’re a person who looks 10 times more polished when your eyebrows are done(like me- can;t leave the house without them done!), make them a priority. For a quick fix, simply dot a brow pencil onto those few sparse areas to even things out, then coat them with a tinted brow gel for a natural, but still groomed, look on the go.
Try Anastasia brow gel, click here
Add a pop of color
For a quick pop of color, use the Multiple from Nars. Apply this creamy product onto your cheeks, eyelids, and even lips to add a pretty shimmer in just seconds – just using one product! Boom!
If you don’t have time to apply mascara (or you are one of those girls that has to spend ages declumping theirs when they are applying!) using an eyelash curler has the same effect, of course without any smudges too!
Do you suffer from dark circles? Then focus on your bags before you leave the house to look perkier and awake for the day! Apply concealer to the eyelids and undereye to conceal redness and dark circles, then set with a touch of translucent powder. Add a coat of mascara and you’re off!
This is a must for me. When in doubt, use a bronzing powder for a quick, healthy flush! I like to use a big powder brush and just sweep some color over my face!
Between lip liner, lip gloss, lipstick, and lip balm, there are about a million options for your lip. Try Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain, $8.99 for a great product in one adding color also!
