EVENT: LAUNCH OF DUBLIN FASHION FESTIVAL

Dublin Fashion Festival is now in its third year and last Wednesday night I was invited to the Media Launch Night in the Westin Hotel.

The catwalk show which featured the gorgeous models from 1st Options consisted of outfits from Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, BT, Jervis Shopping Centre and also boutiques from around Dublin, to name but a few.

I really enjoyed the show which featured looks from Autumn Winter 2012, shedding light on the trends that will be in stores across Dublin.

There were also stands there by LA Creative Academy where Natalie Kinsella did a make-up demonstration, Nu Essence, who were on hand with a nail bar and also Project 51 where an up-and-coming jewellery had a number of pieces on display.

The ambassador of this year’s festival is Amanda Byram and I must say she is more beautiful in real life if that is possible and she is so nice, taking the time to meet people after the show.

The festival will take place 6th-9th of September and some of the highlights including catwalk shows throughout the city, as well as Fashion by Night which will bring catwalk shows to many of the fabulous bars in Town.

Myself and Amanda Byram

I think Dublin Fashion Festival is great because Dublin is not often seen as a trend setting city but we have just as many stylish people as anywhere else and it is events such as this one that highlights this!
